Can you believe only one more race to go and that's it till next summer :-(
Anyone have "Big Plans" for Wednesday: August 8th (even know of anything going on)
I didn't think so
I have been told by many owners and
crew
that they would have loved to go to Opening Day @ Del Mar
but couldn't make it back for that days Beer Can Race
I personally have asked CAR's BOD
to consider
taking a lay day so everyone could attend opening "Hat" day
without missing a Beer Can Race
(but one voice does nothing)
Just think about how much more fun
you would have had this summer
if you could have gone to Opening Day
and still have two more Beer Can Races to go :-)
(you can think about it all day on August 8th, instead of racing)
We should do what ever we can to help them out
and "NOT" create more work for them
we now have 10 races over 11 weeks
so stretching the Beer Can Season to 12 weeks with 10 races
should not create any additional work for anyone beyond picking new dates
In Fact
An extra lay day would give them a chance to go have some fun for themselves
or a chance for a well deserved break
I encourage everyone to let CRA know
if you would like to
Extend the Summer Racing Season
to include lay days, so you can enjoy
both 4th of July and Opening Day @ Del Mar
(-: I have no "Stake" in Del Mar and don't even gamble, Just enjoy that one day and all the "Hats" :-)<>
